El Rodeo - Bend: Authentic Mexican Cuisine with a Friendly Atmosphere

A good family restaurant with great service. It doesn’t have the most exotic Mexican food I’ve eaten but the experience was better!

We knew this place would be good when we had to wait for a parking spot! That's usually a good sign. Only criticism is that our appetizer was served with our main course, so it was a lot of food dropped all at once and it was harder to enjoy the sample platter offerings with my fajitas already in front of me. However, having said that, the food was as expected. Tasty and excellent portion sizes. My wife is veggie and she appreciated properly cooked vegetables, still some crunch!

El Rodeo is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town. The queso is awesome! They have a huge menu with all the great traditional Mexican favorites. They also have delicious margaritas and a large margarita menu that will certainly have your favorite flavor! The staff is always friendly and they have super yummy salsa! The lunch menu is good because you get the same portion basically as the dinner for a better price!

This place was FANTASTIC. The service, food and atmosphere was amazing!! Not enough good things can be said about my visit. If you want great mexican food, this is your place!

This place my wife found in Bend OR. The food is very authentic and so good! My wife had the chile Verde spicy and I had surf and Turf. The steak was cooked medium it was so tender. The rice and beans where delicious. Service was phenomenal. Definitely coming back here again. Since I'm down here every month. Great location to bring the family have a few beers and chill.

We went here for Mother's Day. It wasn't my first pick, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, servers friendly and overall a good time was had. It is a smaller venue so noise does carry, but I was able to carry on conversations with the 3 people I was with.

This was our first time here because our regular place was closed and we wanted mexican food. Good food. New to us was a cabbage appetizer served with salsa and chips. The server explained that it was eaten with chips. The guys liked it. They also served chips and salsa. Not to hot with a zing. We were split on the flavor but liked it. Menu says they charge for a second basket of chips but I didn't check receipt. Had a chicken taco salad with salsa dressing, Asado burritto, and a chili relleno with a chicken taco on the side. All was good. The Taco got soggy because we ate the relleno first and that is partially our fault. Portions were good and we were too full for dessert. There are two parts to the restaurant and one has a bar in it. We were seated near the bar with several TVs and music. It was a little loud to have a conversation over a meal. We asked for the quietest table after I saw we were being seated in the lounge. I think if we had kids with us, we would have been seated in the other section. All in all, we would go back but have different expectations. Staff was friendly, refilled our drinks, and took care of us. Prices were great for lunch! Parking surrounds the place and there is enough for everyone.

First time at El Rodeo. We saw the reviews and thought we would give it a shot! The staff was amazing and very kind to everyone that came in. The place was packed! When it comes to food neither of us thought our food had much flavor. I barely touched my food. The only thing I enjoyed about the food was the salsa. Unfortunately we will not be back after tonight’s visit.
